AprĆØs cette magnifique Great Walk, nous disons tristement au revoir Ć Anne car c’est normalement la derniĆØre fois que nous nous verrons en Nouvelle-ZĆ©lande. Mais heureusement, les Pays-Bas ne sont pas trĆØs loin (de la Suisse) š. A bientĆ“t Anne ! Ce fut un plaisir de t’avoir rencontrĆ© !
On se met ensuite en route pour Nelson oĆ¹ nous retrouvons Sean qui y a trouvĆ© un job pour l’hiver. C’est l’occasion de nous raconter autour d’une biĆØre nos aventures respectives pendant et aprĆØs le TA car on a pas eu trop l’occasion de le faire lorsqu’on s’Ć©tait rapidement croisĆ© Ć Te Anau. Ća nous fait vraiment super plaisir de le revoir. On se rĆ©jouit aussi dĆ©jĆ de se retrouver en Europe ou ailleurs (GPT25 let’s goooo!). Merci encore de nous avoir hĆ©bergĆ© š
De Nelson, nous roulons presque presque non-stop les 270km qui nous sĆ©parent de la West Coast et ses nombreux trĆ©sors Ć dĆ©couvrir. Nous arrivons justement en dĆ©but de soirĆ©e Ć Punakaiki oĆ¹ se trouvent les Pancake Rocks que nous visiterons demain. En attendant, nous allons admirer un superbe coucher de soleil sur la plage Ć cĆ“tĆ© de notre parking pour la nuit.
After this wonderful Great Walk, we sadly have to say goodbye to Anne as this is normally the last time we will see each other in New Zealand. But luckily the Netherlands is not very far (from Switzerland) š. See you soon Anne! It was a pleasure meeting you!
We then set off for Nelson where we find Sean who has found a job there for the winter. This is an opportunity to tell us over a beer our respective adventures during and after the TA because we did not have the opportunity to do so when we had quickly crossed paths in Te Anau a few months prior. It makes us really happy to see him again. We are also already looking forward to meeting again in Europe or elsewhere (GPT25 let’s goooo!). Thanks again for hosting us mate š
From Nelson, we then drive almost non-stop the 270km that separates us from the West Coast and its many treasures to discover. We arrive just at the beginning of the evening in Punakaiki where the Pancake Rocks are and which we will visit tomorrow. In the meantime, we admire a superb sunset on the beach next to our parking spot for the night.
